Description
The upcoming Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) at the Vera C. Rubin observatory is set to yield unprecedented amounts of astrophysical data. Amongst other exciting research focuses, it is designed to search for optical transients, including microlensing events. In this talk, I will explore how we can search for these microlensing events in Rubin's data sets using statistical and machine learning based classifiers, before discussing how these can be used to present projected constraints on the fraction of dark matter in primordial black holes (PBHs).
