Top-Pair Events with B-hadrons at the LHC
Abstract:
In this talk, I will present a recent NNLO QCD calculation of B-hadron production in association with a top-quark pair at the LHC. Among other things, the results allow for a precise determination of the top-quark mass. They also offer positive prospects for extracting heavy-flavour fragmentation functions from LHC data. I will explain how the production of identified hadrons can be described using fragmentation functions and how this formalism can be incorporated in a subtraction scheme at NNLO.
