Hitham Hassan: All-Orders Merging of High-Energy and Soft-Collinear Resummation

Abstract:  We develop and validate a sophisticated novel prescription for merging the resummation of High Energy Jets (HEJ) with the Pythia parton shower, which preserves the accuracy of each resummation. Predictions produced by merging the resummation schemes in this way are compared to experimental data for inclusive pp→jj production at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
