SUMMARY:Workshop on Metric Geometry\, Analysis and Probability
DTSTART:20260713T080000Z

UID:indico-event-1554@conference.ippp.dur.ac.uk
DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Amaranta Membrillo Solis (Queen Mary University of L
ondon)\, Fernando Galaz-García (Durham University)\, Kohei Suzuki (Durham
University)\, Martin Kerin (Durham University)\n\nThis workshop will crea
te a setting in which established and early-career researchers in metric g
eometry\, analysis and probability can exchange ideas across closely relat
ed areas of research that are often pursued in separate communities. By br
inging these groups together in person\, the workshop will help participan
ts identify common problems\, share recent advances\, and develop research
questions for future collaboration.\n\nThe workshop will focus on topics
 which include:\n\n   Alexandrov spaces\n   Gromov-Hausdorff convergenc
e\n   Manifolds with lower curvature bounds\n   Metric measure spaces\
 n   RCD spaces\n   Sub-Riemannian geometry\n   Lorentzian geometry\n
Geometric PDEs\n\nIn particular\, the workshop fits neatly within the
frameworks of the UK Metric Geometry and Analysis Network and the COST ac
tion multiscale Stochastics\, Patterns\, and Analysis of Combinatorial Env
ironments.  \nConfirmed Speakers\n\n   Samuël Borza (University of Vie
nna)\n   Mauricio Che Moguel (University of Vienna)\n    Tadashi Fujio
ka (Fukuoka University)\n   Katie Gittins (Durham University)\n   John
Harvey (Cardiff University)\n   Xiang-Dong Li (Chinese Academy of Scien
 ces\, Beijing)\n    Shouhei Honda (University of Tokyo)\n   Shin-Ichi
Ohta (Osaka University)\n   Lewis Tadman (Durham University)\n    Asuk
a Takatsu (University of Tokyo)\n   Kenshiro Tashiro (Okinawa Institute
of Science and Technology)\n   Simone Vincini (University of Vienna)\n\n
