BSM in non-leptonic B decays: what doesn't work and what might?

Description

Large discrepancies between theoretical predictions and experimental results in non-leptonic B -> D K and Bs -> Ds pi decays. As the QCD factorisation framework should be most accurate in these decays, we consider what BSM particles could explain the anomalies, and how we can avoid previously derived LHC bounds. In one scenario, I will show how typical model-building routes for constructing a viable scenario remain constrained by collider measurements except in absurd circumstances, while in another I will present an in-progress study on potentially viable parameter space, and discuss other observables which could be useful.
