The Dark Matter distribution of the Milky Way (its uncertainties and consequences on the determination of new physics)

Description

I will present the recent-most results of a fully data-driven method for the determination of the dark matter distribution within the Milky Way, based on the use of the Rotation Curve.

I will highlight shortcomings and currently irreducible astrophysical uncertainties of such method, and show how the latter also propagate into the analysis of specific models of Dark Matter, thus affecting the search for physics beyond the standard model.
