DESCRIPTION:Supersymmetry can be combined with R-symmetry\, a continuous\n
U(1) symmetry which does not commute with SUSY. R-symmetric models can\nbe
phenomenologically viable. In recent years\, the minimal R-symmetric\nmod
el (MRSSM) has been studied in detail. Two appealing properties are:\n(1)
the MRSSM is distinct from the usual MSSM in the sense that the\nMRSSM doe
s not possess an MSSM-like limit\; (2) the MRSSM has fewer\nparameters tha
n the MSSM. One might therefore call the MRSSM an even\nmore minimal reali
zation of SUSY. In the colloquium we will introduce\nthis model and provid
e an overview and a discussion of its properties.\nIt has turned out that
the model has surprisingly rich and\nphenomenologically successful propert
ies. We will focus in particular on\nits prediction for the Higgs boson ma
ss\, electroweak precision\nobservables\, dark matter\, LHC mass limits\,
