Angular observables as a probe of new physics in the Higgs-gauge sector

Description

I will be talking about my recent research regarding the use of differential observables in a SMEFT analysis of Higgs-strahlung. I will begin with a summary of SMEFT and BSM primaries before looking at how the Higgs-strahlung squared amplitude can be decomposed into nine distinct angular structures. These structures are then exploited in a novel differential analysis method to maximise sensitivity to anomalous couplings and obtain competitive bounds. It is hoped that such angular techniques can be extended to other processes in the future so that such observables can be combined into a global fit.
