Welcome to the Young Theorists' Forum 2020!

YTF exists to bring together postgraduate students working in theoretical physics/applied maths and encourage them to share their research. YTF 20 is a great opportunity to present your work, while also engaging and collaborating with student from different universities.

This year's plenary speaker(s) will be TBC.

YTF 20 will be held on Zoom and hosted by Durham University on two consecutive afternoons: 15th and 16th of December, 2020.

We are keen for this year's event to be as inclusive as possible and as such we would like to ask about your preferences/suggestions to make YTF better than ever!

We encourage the submissions of abstracts for either short (5 minutes) or long (25 minutes) talks. The long talks consist of approximately 20 minutes presentation and 5 minutes questions. This may be subject to change as mentioned above. Please see the Call for Abstracts page.

The conference is free to attend. As this is a virtual event, you will need to bring your own biscuits and refreshments!

Topics expected to be discussed include:

  • AdS/CFT
  • Amplitudes
  • Beyond-Standard-Model physics
  • Black Holes
  • Conformal Symmetry
  • Cosmology
  • Dark Matter
  • Data Science
  • Flavour Physics
  • Gravity
  • QCD
  • Machine Learning
  • Neutrinos
  • Non-Perturbative QFT
  • String Theory
  • Supersymmetric QFT
