Instruction to prepare the virtual machine for the tutorials
- Download and install VirtualBox from https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
- Download the virtual disk image from http://madgraph.hep.uiuc.edu/Downloads/YETI2016.tgz or http://madgraph.hep.uiuc.edu/Downloads/YETI2016.zip
- Untar (tar -xzpvf YETI2016.tgz) or unzip the disk image as appropriate
- Start VirtualBox, click “New”
- Name: YETI2016
- OS Type: Linux - Ubuntu (64 bit)
- Memory: 1024 MB (or more)
- Virtual Hard Disk: Use existing hard disk. Click folder symbol, choose the disk image “YETI2016.vdi”
- Check the summary, then “Create”
- In the “VirtualBox Manager”, select “YETI2016” and click “Start” in the top row.
- If needed the password is r1vet
