To and from the airport:
There is a frequent direct coach service (The Airline) linking Oxford to Heathrow & Gatwick airports - tickets can be bought on-line or by cash when boarding.
- At Heathrow, go to the Central Bus Station (T1/T3) or Airline coach stop (T5).
- If arriving at Heathrow T4, take the (free) bus to T5 and proceed as above.
- From Gatwick the journey is longer and the frequency is less.
- It is not a good idea to fly to Luton or Stansted airports as it can take several hours to get to Oxford (best option is to take a coach to Heathrow and proceed as above).
The meeting will be held at Lincoln College on Turl Street. You can exit the bus at either St Aldates or Glocester Green (the last stop), and proceed to the college.
To and from London:
Two services operate from London: one leaves from Victoria Coach Station every 15 minutes during weekdays (Oxford X90); the other from Grosvenor Gardens by Victoria Railway Station every 10 minutes at peak times (Oxford Tube). Both services pick up at Marble Arch. Once in Oxford, proceed as above.
Visa Letter:
Nationals of non-EEA countries will need a visa to enter the UK. Please contact Steve Worm (steve.worm@stfc.ac.uk) if you will need a letter of invitation, either to apply for a visitor visa or to present at the airport when you enter the UK.
