The organizers are committed to making YETI 2019 productive and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, nationality or religion. We will not tolerate harassment of participants in any form.
We expect all attendees to follow these guidelines:
- Behave professionally. Harassment and sexist, racist, or exclusionary comments or jokes are not appropriate. Harassment includes sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, sexual attention or innuendo, deliberate intimidation and stalking. It also includes offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race or religion.
- Remember the diversity of backgrounds among our attendees. All communication should be professional and not exclusionary for any participant. Offensive or sexual language and imagery are not appropriate in any form.
- While the organizers of YETI do expect some photography of talks, speakers and conference activities for both scientific and outreach purposes, all photography must be professional and reasonable in its extent. If any attendee has concerns about the actions of the official photographer or any other participant, we ask them to speak confidentially to the organizers.
Participants asked to stop any inappropriate behaviour are expected to comply immediately. Attendees violating these guidelines may be asked to leave the event at the sole discretion of the organizers.
Any participant who wishes to report a violation of this policy is asked to speak, in confidence, to one of the organizers.
