    I will discuss where do we stand in the task of characterizing the Higgs boson at LHC, the future prospects to learn more from the HL-LHC and future colliders presently under study. I will focus in particular on the long term goals in the exploration of Higgs boson properties and and possible lessons to be learned about electroweak symmetry breaking.
