Durham is a very walkable city (distances are 5-10 minutes for Collingwood College to the Calman Centre. 15 minutes for Calman Centre to Town) so it is expected that most people will be happy to walk.
However shuttle buses have been organised for those that need it. This is primarily aimed at anyone with mobility restrictions, so please give priority to those that need it. If there is space anyone is welcome to use it. It will seat 19 passengers on each trip.
It will operate to and from the accommodation to the Calman Learning Centre morning and evening during the conference, and also into town for dinner in the evenings. (Dinner is not provided in College - for suggestions see the "Eating" tab). A shuttle bus will also be provided on Wednesday evening to and from the Castle. If you need transport for the return from town after dinner on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday taxi ranks are available on North road (near Milburngate Bridge) and by the Millenium Centre (next to the church in the market square).
