Description

As the collider-physics community continues to push the boundaries of research at facilities such as the LHC, EIC, FCC, and beyond, it increasingly relies on an expanding suite of community-driven tools, libraries, data formats, and technical frameworks to efficiently simulate, process, and distribute events at an unprecedented scale. However, unlike the well-coordinated physics modelling efforts for event generators, there remains limited formal collaboration and strategic alignment across the broader tool-development ecosystem. This workshop seeks to build on prior efforts to establish a more cohesive and coordinated strategy for supporting tools in particle physics, with a particular focus on community-driven development, scalability, and sustainability. It will bring together tool developers, research software engineers, and experts to share knowledge, brainstorm solutions to common challenges, and explore collaborative opportunities. The goal is to ensure the long-term viability and efficiency of the tools that underpin modern collider physics, foster collaboration across communities, and address the growing demands of next-generation experiments. We welcome participants with a broad range of expertise, from the technical to the strategic, to contribute to shaping the future of these essential resources.
