Welcome to YTF 2021!
YTF exists to bring together postgraduate students working in theoretical physics/applied maths and encourage them to share their research. YTF 21 is a great opportunity for presenting your work, while also engaging and collaborating with students from different universities. YTF 21 will feature:
- 20 minute talks, with 5 minutes of questions
- Gong Show Talks (shorter 5 minute talks)
- Virtual poster session - we will ask poster presenters to record a short video about their poster for our attendees.
We are very pleased to announce that this year's plenary speaker will be Professor Ruth Gregory!
YTF 21 will be held virtually and hosted by Durham University students over two days: Thursday 16th and Friday 17th December 2021.
We want to make sure YTF is as inclusive as possible. Closed captions will be automatically generated for all talks through Zoom. Please let us know through the registration form of any access requirements you have.
The conference is free to attend. YTF begins immediately after the Annual Theory Meeting (ATM), at 2pm on Thursday. If you are attending ATM with Durham University accommodation, please indicate this on the registration form and your stay will be extended for YTF. The conference will finish by 5pm on Friday. ATM will cover travel expenses, including if you are staying for YTF. Alternatively, SUPA can cover travel expenses for Scottish students (in a SUPA member university) if they contact the SUPA office.
Please also read our Covid-19 mitigation policies on the relevant tab before registering. We will always follow government guidance.
