- To attend, you will need to provide evidence of a negative LFT (Lateral Flow Test) from within 48 hours prior to the event start. These can be obtained for free from UK pharmacies (including in Durham City) via this link or sent to home in advance on this link. Results should be registered on the NHS website to show proof when you check in. This requirement is independent of vaccination status.
- Attendees are recommended to also perform regular LFTs throughout their time in Durham, especially if they will also be at the Annual Theory Meeting.
- University students at Durham (or elsewhere) may also use a University-run LFT system so long as they can also show proof of the result within 48 hours prior to the event start.
- In the event of a positive result during/ after the event, all attendees will be assumed to be “close contacts” and will be recommended to take a PCR test.
- Face Coverings will be required to be worn by the audience during all talks (unless exempt). The speakers may remove theirs in order to present (use of the Perspex screens in our lecture rooms is recommended).
- Face coverings should also be worn whilst moving around inside University Buildings
- They may be removed whilst eating/ drinking or whilst seated during the breaks and social interludes.
