Practical information
Accommodation
We have pre-booked rooms in college accommodation. The cost is £TBC per night and includes breakfast. The accommodation should be booked when filling the registration form. Please note, you will need to create a Durham Indico account in order to register. Alternatively, you can chose to organise your own hotel.
Social programme
We have organised a tour of Durham Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on Thursday afternoon and the workshop dinner will be on Thursday evening. On the other evening(s), you're encouraged to explore Durham's wide range of pubs and restaurants!
Financial support
Limited funds are available to financially support travel or accommodation costs, prioritised by need. If you are interested in this possibility, please contact Mark Owen (mark.andrew.owen@cern.ch) and Andy Buckley (andy.buckley@cern.ch).
Registration fee
Thanks to the support of the IPPP, there is no registration fee!
Travel
The nearest airports are Newcastle Airport and Durham Tees Valley Airport, which are accessible by public transport from Durham. Once you arrive in Durham, you can either walk to the College (note it is uphill), or take a short taxi ride (approx. 5 mins). Please see the University web page for travel details.
