For the first time this year, we are intending to run a public engagement event as part of the school. This will be an online live-streamed event delivered by the students.
It will take place in the evening on 14th September and will consist of six 15-minute presentations followed by a 30-minute panel discussion. Each participant will deliver one of the presentations and take part in the panel discussion. The presentations should be on a particle physics topic and should be aimed at the general public. Demonstrations are welcome, providing they can be delivered easily online.
If you are interested in participating in the event, please email the school director with a brief summary (maximum one paragraph) describing the presentation/demonstration you would like to give and why you think it is particularly appropriate for a particle physics public engagement event. Your email must reach the director by the end of Monday 16th August 2021 in order to be considered.
The organising team will select the best six from those who volunteer to participate in the event. Those who have been selected will be informed a couple of weeks before the school is due to begin.
