Announcement Bulletin

The 13th International Workshop on Top Quark Physics (TOP 2020) will take place from 14-18 September 2020. This year's version is an on-line conference hosted with support from IPPP Durham. The aim is to bring together experimentalists and theorists to present and discuss the latest developments in top-quark physics. A preliminary programme is available on the conference web page:

http://conference.ippp.dur.ac.uk/e/TOP2020

Registration is open and will close on 10 September. It is free of charge and will allow registrants to participate in discussion during the talks.  In order to help us make the appropriate IT provisions, we ask that participants register at their earliest possible convenience.

The conference begins with a keynote talk by Matthew McCullough, and ends with experimental and theoretical summaries by Reinhard Schwienhorst and Sally Dawson. The main programme consists of plenary talks by theorists and experimentalists alike, as well as a half-day mini-workshop entitled ``Jets in top physics: substructure, tagging and machine learning tools''.

Young scientists are especially encouraged to participate, and there will be a block of short plenary talks allowing them to present their work. In addition to the traditional contributions from experimentalists, there will also be a selected number of theoretical talks in this year’s ``Young Scientist Forum''.  Abstracts for these theory talks can be submitted to top2020@durham.ac.uk until 14 August, and we ask that senior scientists alert their younger colleagues to this opportunity.

Looking forward to greeting you to this special edition of the TOP conference series: although we will all miss the opportunity to meet with our colleagues in person, we anticipate a lively on-line atmosphere that is fitting with the tradition of the workshop.
