The excursion is to Whitby, a coastal town which was an inspiration for Dracula. Those wishing to stay in Durham are recommended to have a look around the Durham Cathedral and surrounding area.
The bus to Whitby will leave at 13:15 from in front of the physics building (see map below), and drive back to Durham at 17:15.
