Description
Hadronization and the thermal properties of the quark gluon plasma (QGP) remain challenges to our undestanding of QCD. There have been recent advances in the theoretical understanding of strongly coupled gauge theories using string theory techniques. In addition experimental progress has come from RHIC, and the LHC programme promises much to come. The workshop aims to bring together these diverse communities and seek deeper understanding of the non-perturbative QCD physics of jets and the Quark-Gluon Plasma. Talks will centre on current models of hadronization and their confrontation with experiment, our present understanding of the QGP and AdS/QCD methods for these processes.
