James Stirling Memorial Conference

Europe/London
Durham IPPP

Durham IPPP

Description

We are organising a conference to remember our friend and colleague James Stirling.
The conference will be held on the 17th and 18th of September 2019 in the IPPP at Durham.
The meeting will be held in conjunction with a meeting of the PDF4LHC working group,
which seems appropriate in view of James' great contributions to understanding the
structure of the proton.

The memorial part of the conference will be held on the afternoon of the 17th September,
from 14.00-18.00. We are inviting a number of James' colleagues to present brief talks
on their work with James, the significance of his contributions and their memories of
interacting with him (Photo credit, T Angus).
